Anonymous artists in the Russian Ural city of Yekaterinburg have transformed a spherical monument into a giant Pokéball.

Fully at one with the current global Pokémon GO craze, city mayor Yevgeny Roysman has reassured fans of the gaming phenomenon that the new monument will be allowed to remain, although he noted that it may be painted over in honour of the Yekaterinburg City Day on 18 August.
