Istrian town of Grožnjan to host Croatia’s largest open-air art show

29 July 2016

The town of Grožnjan, set on Croatia’s Istrian peninsula, will soon welcome the country’s largest open-air art exhibition — Grisia.

An array of artists, both Croatian and international, established and emerging, will flock to the town, which is known as the Town of Artists on 14 August. They will display a wide range of works, including paintings and sculptures.

Grožnjan has been known as the Town of Artists since artists from all over the world came to live in the empty houses abandoned by Italians after the Second World War. Grožnjan is now home to around 20 galleries and art studios.
