Rare white lions and tigers born in Poland

26 September 2016

Four rare white lion cubs and three white tigers have been born at a zoo in Borysew, near Łódź in central Poland.

The endangered animals, who were born last week, number only a few hundred worldwide.

“We’ve expanded the global population by 15 per cent,” owner Andrzej Pabich said of the white lion cubs, whose gender is not yet known. “The selection process is a lot of work, then we have to choose the right food and create the right environment to have this many offspring.”
