To mark the 33rd MBFWRussia, we’ve teamed up with photographer Ryan Koopmans to bring you exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into Moscow’s biggest fashion event.

On day five of MBFWRussia, Russian designer Dasha Gauser took the crowd on a world tour with her travel-inspired collection.

Here we see a model sporting a dress emblazoned with “Russia” in large letters. Not simply an ode to the designer’s homeland, the dress features a map of the globe, formed from the names of the world’s nations. As large as it is, if an accurate sense of scale was the aim, one might argue that Russia benefitted from some slight over-representation here…

The show also saw models strut down the catwalk in dresses, jackets and shirts adorned with luggage tags, aeroplanes and a map of Moscow, with the brand’s characteristic geometric shapes visible throughout the collection.
