Today is the last day that you can buy tickets for Calvert 22’s New East Photo Weekend at a discounted early bird price — get them while you can!
On 2–3 December the New East Photo Weekend will bring together leading photographers, artists and curators to share their experience with emerging photographers. Open to anyone keen to develop their practice, the programme will cover the essential steps to becoming an independent member of the professional photographic community, covering both the artistic and commercial aspects of photography. At the same time, the event will champion excellence from across the New East region.
The agenda for the weekend includes masterclasses, panel discussions, one-on-one portfolio reviews and print swaps. The event will be led by industry experts such as award-winning photographer Donald Weber, Roger Tooth, Head of Photography at the Guardian, artists Taus Makhacheva and Alexander Gronsky, and Kate Bush, Head of Photography at the Science Museum’s Media Space. A full schedule can be found here.
The weekend complements the 2016 New East Photo Prize Exhibition.
Until the end of today tickets will be available at the early bird price of £45 (£35 for students). You can purchase tickets here. The normal ticket price will be £65 (£55 for students).
The New East Photo Weekend will take place on Friday 2 December, 4:00pm – 8:00pm & Saturday 3 December, 12:00pm – 9:00pm at Calvert 22 in Shoreditch.
