Kanye West and Gosha Rubchinskiy meet in Moscow

16 November 2016

Could we soon be seeing Kanye West clad in Cyrillic script sportswear? This could well be on the cards — the American hip hop star was spotted yesterday meeting with Russian fashion designer Gosha Rubchinskiy in Moscow.

Known for his post-Soviet aesthetic, Rubchinskiy met West at Moscow’s Multimedia Art Museum, where they visited an Alexander Rodchenko exhibition. This momentous meeting, which later continued in a local bar, was captured on Snapchat by Valentin Fufaev of @doublecheeseburgervf.

West has been known as a skilled scout of up-and-coming fashion talent, having championed such names as Balenciaga and Vetements’s Demna Gvasalia, Off-White’s Virgil Abloh, and Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God.

We’ll keep our eyes peeled for any Yeezy x Gosha collaborations.
