Russian Film Week launches next week in London

22 November 2016

Russian Film Week opens on 30 November, bringing screenings of dramas, documentaries, animations and shorts to London and Cambridge in a brand new festival.

Presented by Perkon Productions, Russian Film Week will showcase the most acclaimed Russian films of the last 18 months, with such leading directors as Alexei Uchitel, Dmitri Dyuzhev and Valery Todorovsky due to take part.

The festival will open on 30 November with the red carpet premiere of The Heritage of Love (2016, dir. Yuriy Vasilev), which will be followed by a Q&A. A full programme of events can be found here.

A highlight of the week will be the Golden Unicorn Awards, which will be decided by an expert jury and presented at a ceremony on Saturday 3 December.

Russian Film Week is organised in collaboration with London’s Raindance Film Festival, the British Council and the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation as part of the UK–Russia Year of Language and Literature.

Russian Film Week will take place from 30 November – 4 December at various locations in central London and Cambridge.
