Georgian Gvasalia brothers honoured at British Fashion Council Awards

Georgian designers Demna and Guram Gvasalia had great success at Monday night’s British Fashion Council Awards.

The ceremony, which took place at the Royal Albert Hall and was attended by such big names as American model Gigi Hadid and editor-in-chief of Vogue Anna Wintour, saw the pair scoop the Best International Urban Luxury Award for Vetements. Both among the original founders of the brand, Demna is head designer and spokesperson for Vetements, while Guram serves as CEO.

Demna was also named International Ready-to-Wear Designer for his work as creative director at Paris-based fashion house Balenciaga, while Guram numbered among the nominees for the International Business Leader Award.
