Christmas eve saw Kim Kardashian attend the ballet clad in an oversized festive red sweatshirt. A little less in keeping with the season, the hoodie was also adorned with the Soviet hammer and sickle symbol.
Despite rumours that Kim’s choice of outfit for the performance of the Nutcracker at the Los Angeles Ballet Company was linked with her husband Kanye West’s recent meeting with president-elect Donald Trump, it seems that the cosy communist get-up was more of a fashion statement. The sweatshirt forms part of the collaboration between French label Vetements, headed by Balenciaga’s Demna Gvasalia, and Moscow-based concept store SVMoscow.
One of only 50 sweatshirts made for the collaborative collection, and retailing at $770, Kim’s sweatshirt is a bit of a step up from your usual “CCCP” souvenir T-shirt.
