Open call for Riga Photomonth 2017

The Calvert Journal is pleased to announce our media partnership with Riga Photomonth 2017 commencing this May.

Now in its fourth edition, Riga Photomonth is an international festival that takes place over a month in the Latvian capital and includes exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, lectures and film screenings as part of its programme.

Riga Photomonth 2017 is now accepting submissions that respond to this year’s selected theme — Facts and Clarifications. Open to Latvian and international photographers, submissions should explore complicated, paradoxical, tragic, as well as humorous cultural situations and their interpretations in our modern world. The chosen photo stories will be screened in a special event during the opening week on 13 May, and will appear on the festival’s website and social networks.

The deadline for entries is 31 March 2017 (23:59, GMT+2). You can find the terms and conditions here. The opening weekend for Riga Photomonth 2017 will take place from 8 — 14 May.
