Max Avdeev is a Moscow-based freelance photographer, who has had work published in New Republic and Vanity Fair, as well as on Buzzfeed. On his Instagram account he posts pictures from his travels around the world and everyday life in Moscow, and gives a behind-the-scenes look at his assignments.

Expect breathtaking shots from Yekaterinburg and the Krasnoyarsk Dam to the Kaliningrad and Murmansk regions, from Azerbaijani mountains to Yakutia. Architectural and design treasures like the hidden Soviet elevators in Moscow and Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku also appear regularly.
