Kandinsky Prize announces longlist

The longlist of nominees has been revealed for this year’s Kandinsky Prize, one of the most prestigious awards in Russian contemporary art.

Awards will be presented across three categories: Project of the Year, Young Artist’s Project of the Year, and Academic Work — History and Theory of Contemporary Art.

The longlist features a total of 30 nominees: 15 art projects in Project of the Year, ten in Young Artist’s Project of the Year, and five research works in Academic Work — History and Theory of Contemporary Art. This year’s nominees include Victor Alimpiev, Evgeny Antufiev, Peter Belyi, Irina Korina, and Anya Acorn.

Among the jury members are the Executive Director of the Moscow International Film Festival, Vasily Tsereteli; director of the Pushkin Museum, Marina Loshak; director of the Multimedia Art Museum, Olga Sviblova; and Bernard Blistène, director of the National Museum of Modern Art at the Pompidou Centre, Paris.
