A Georgian start-up has promised their new micro-houses will be available to buy in less than a month.

Unveiled by Georgian company Kote.ge earlier this year, the tiny pre-fab houses measure just nine square metres.

With an expected pricetag of 5,000 lari ($1,915) founder Levan Tkemaladze says he hopes the buildings will give everyone the chance to have their own home.

The micro-houses, which rarely require planning permission, should be available to buy on 30 November, Tkemaladze told the Georgian Journal. He also said that the company had been approached by several holiday resorts.

“We’ve had interest especially from [resorts in] Mestia and Gudauri,” said Tkemaladze. “They’re looking to build complexes which they could rent out.”
