Slovenia named among world’s top romantic getaways

Western Slovenia has been named as one of the world’s most romantic getaways by international travel brand National Geographic.

The central European region grabbed 12th place in the magazine’s list of must-visit destinations in the run-up to Valentine’s Day.

The area includes the iconic beauty of Lake Bled, the tranquil mountain ranges of the Triglav National Park, and the vibrant Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.

Scotland’s Isle of Skye, the Belgian city of Bruges, and the Moselle river valley also featured at the top of the list.
