Enter the new open call supporting women photographers from the South Caucasus

3 April 2018

The Tbilisi Photography and Multimedia Museum is searching for the best upcoming female photographers from across the South Caucasus as part of a new open call battling human rights abuse.

Seven emerging image makers from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will be given grants to support long-term photo projects on social problems and abuse across the region.

“Women photographers are currently very actively working on long-term projects on the most challenging social issues all over the region,” the organisers said in a press release. “Documenting the violation of the human rights enables advocating them, defending them and initiating the real changes.”

As well as a grant, all photographers will receive mentoring from Clement Saccomani, managing director at NOOR Images, Agata Bar, NOOR’s editorial director. Their work will also be screened at Tbilisi Photo Festival’s Night of Photography.
