Evgenia Golant (b. Leningrad) is a visual artist based in St Petersburg. A St Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design graduate, she embraces the tradition of Russian art school in her own work, painting almost exclusively from life. The exchange between the artist and the model has a central place in Golant’s practice. She has received a number of prestigious grants and scholarships, including a Frants Art Foundation grant in 2020.
