Alina Brovina is a visual artist based in Moscow. Her artistic research focuses on closed spaces: a public neighbourhood courtyard, work collective, art community, family archive. In her works, she works with sculpture, objects, photography, plants, and laboratory data, combining autobiographical stories and the scientifically verifiable materiality of the medium. Brovina’s artistic interests include ecology, motherhood, and the history of Soviet science.
