Polina Osipova hails from Cheboksary, Chuvashia. Having moved to Saint Petersburg at the age of 16, she studied jewellery for a while, and still often uses it in her practice. Osipova is particularly interested in Soviet mechanisms and in her Chuvash culture and explores both topics in her video and photo-based projects. She has worked with such institutions as Gucci and Vogue.
