Fedor Hiroshige

Fedor Hiroshige (b. 1982, Tolbazy) is a visual and performance artist based in St Petersburg. Interested in post-digital practices, Hiroshige often uses wood in his installations, employing spiritual methods of inner concentration in his pyrographic works. Hiroshige’s alter ego that appears in his performances is a Mushroom-man—a post-human character through whom the artist explores alternative communication techniques and possibilities of transgression and utopia.
