Hanna Zubkova lives and works between Moscow, Minsk, and Paris. She deals with the issues of the place of individual experience in specific ideological, cultural, and psycholinguistic circumstances, as well as with the status quo and power structures. Zubkova’s performative situations, video, objects, and mixed-media installations are based on the hybrid data of her research. She is also interested in the contradictions between the lived-through experience and category systems, as well as various knowledge forms.
