Ippolit Markelov, PhD, is a bioartist and researcher who is exploring the problems of relations in interspecific communication and the transformation of the “living.” He works at the intersection of artistic and scientific methods. In his projects, he uses and develops neurobiological and bioengineered technological systems. Markelov is a founder of Science Art group 18 Apples and the Chief Researcher of Posthuman Studies Lab. His works have been exhibited at museums and galleries worldwide.
