Ksenia Nechay (b. 1991, Bryansk) is a performer, sculptor, and singer. She is a co-producer of the art-pop group Slezki and a member of the ShShSh group. In their songs, Slezki’s heroines talk about the stereotypes within the art scene and its impenetrability. They also try on the images of superheroines and animals in the songs and accompanying visuals. In her own practice, Ksenia Nechay creates sculptures in the social realist tradition, which she sees as an analogue to post-Soviet pop music.
