Antonina Baever, still from Getting There Together (2013)

Antonina Baever

Antonina Baever works largely with video, creating works that problematise the role of the artist in society. In Getting There Together (2013), she pulls a camel behind her through a desert, as an allegory of the traditions and knowledge that every individual carries with them. Baever took part in the 3rd Moscow International Biennale of Young Art in 2012 and was nominated for the Innovation Prize in thesame year. In 2013, she was put forward for the Kandinsky Prize for Diploma, a video research project about the marketplace for dissertations aimed at university students.
