Polish photographer Katarzyna Mazur studied at Berlin’s Ostkreuzschule School of Photography and Design, where she first became interested in boxing, particularly in how the sport benefits young women. She returned to the topic between 2013 and 2014, when she photographed the Female Fight Club in Berlin. Anna Konda, named after one of the club’s founders, offers an intimate glimpse into the world of female wrestling. Drawn to documenting movement, Mazur is interested in transforming stereotypes. “I like topics which are on the edge: I like to surprise myself, learn about people, sometimes crush or confirm a prejudice towards certain things,” she says.
