The country's youngest town was founded just three years ago and plans to become the biggest tech hub in Russia by 2020. Innopolis's layout was conceived with the help of Liu Thai Ker, chief architect of Singapore, who pledged to create a city where technology will empower culture and vice versa. For now Innopolis only consists of a university campus, the backbone of the future tech hub, and a handful of residential buildings. The first wedding just took place here, and the city's largely empty streets have already attracted stray dogs from adjacent villages — a sure sign that Innopolis is quickly becoming a real Russian city.
