George Keburia

One of the brightest stars of Tbilisi’s fashion scene, George Keburia works freely with the most diverse references. In the collection which brought him international attention, he combined gun prints influenced by the tragic consequences of the Georgian civil wars with rainbow colours and ruffles. For the following season, he told the story of coming of age in Japan with graphic jackets, short pleated skirts and sheer polo-neck dresses. Whatever the visual codes, his message is always one of freedom and self-expression, and the new generation of Georgians loves him for that.
