Meet the photographer capturing the desolate beauty of St Petersburg's suburban trash

Photographer Daria Piskareva travels each day from the village where she lives to Russia’s second biggest city, St Petersburg.

Leaving early each morning, her daily commute takes her through suburban districts, industrial sites and village fields. Many are strewn in rubbish, which Piskareva documents with love and care. The resulting images are haunting.
