St Petersburg airport unveils new terminal

4 December 2013

The new terminal in St Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport has opened after two years of construction at a cost of €1.2bn. The terminal will operate a handful of flights until January 2014 when it will ramp up to full capacity. The terminal, the airport’s third, will be able to serve up to 17 million passengers a year once fully operational. Over the next few years, Pulkovo-1 terminal will also be renovated and eventually integrated into the new terminal. After Moscow’s Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports, Pulkovo is the third busiest in Russia.
