Moscow-based electronic musician Roman Litvinov aka Mujuice has released a song today with lyrics based on Soviet soldiers’ letters home.

The track, enigmatically titled “—.. .-” in Morse code is Mujuice’s first in over two years. The track is part of Google’s project Living Memory (Zhivaya Pamyat), in which artists, musicians, ballet dancers and poets creatively reimagine Soviet soldiers’ letters home.

The project is set to coincide with celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War (Second World War) on 9 May 2015. Hundreds of letters have been digitised and collected on a dedicated website, and visitors are encouraged to contribute letters from their own family archives.
