If you’re feeling like you could do with a mid-week pick-up, put down that coffee and look no further than Nipwitz — a Finnish collective who bring a whole new meaning to the term “urban skiing”. The team headed to Russia’s Murmansk Oblast region last year where huge, dilapidated Soviet buildings provided the perfect set-up for a spot of freestyle skiing. A short video of their trip picked up the Best Webisode award in the 2012 International Freeski Film Festival in France.
