Russian conceptual designer Gosha Rubchinskiy has launched a film entitled The Day of My Death, timed to accompany the debut of his latest menswear collection yesterday.

The film, which stands at 17 minutes long, is filmed in black and white and is entirely silent. It was directed by the celebrated Russian actress, director and screenwriter Renata Litvinova.

The Calvert Journal’s Commissioning Editor Anastasiia Fedorova will be discussing Gosha Rubchinskiy’s Spring/Summer 2017 menswear collection at SHOWstudio tonight at 6pm, joined by Timur Kim, Tigran Karapetyan, Dasha Selyanova and Dominic Wallace. The panel will also discuss a number of broader issues, such as the impact of post-Soviet hype on designers from the region.
