Disney to collaborate with Soyuzmultfilm

Disney is set to collaborate with Russian animation studio Soyuzmultfilm.

The inaugural event of the partnership will be a visit by animators from Soyuzmultfilm to the Disney studios in Los Angeles in order to discuss and share experiences with their Disney counterparts. In addition, cultural and educational events, Disney and Pixar masterclasses, and discussions surrounding the use of technology, the creative process and the emergence of new genres of animation are planned.

On June 10 Soyuzmultfilm celebrated its 80th anniversary. Since its beginning, Soyuzmultfilm has produced over 1,500 cartoons, among which are the famous Cheburashka and Hedgehog in the Fog.
