Former Soviet garage becomes a huge waterfall in Vilnius

26 September 2016

Check out Waterfall, a street art project that sees a former Soviet garage in Vilnius transformed into… you guessed it, a waterfall.

Created by architect Ignas Lukauskas, and curated by Studio Vieta in collaboration with the Vilnius Street Art Festival, Waterfall covers the garage’s concrete facade with a huge photorealistic image measuring over 2,000 square metres — the first street art project on its scale to take place in Lithuania.

In addition to providing a vibrant and dynamic display, Waterfall raises questions about the ways in which street art can be used to have a positive impact on those living close by.
