Fashion week moments: models get ready to step inside Yasya Minochkina’s fairytale

To mark the 33rd MBFWRussia, we’ve teamed up with photographer Ryan Koopmans to bring you exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into Moscow’s biggest fashion event.

As at the show itself, where the glow of phone screens illuminates the faces of the crowd as they attempt to catch the perfect picture, behind the scenes others try to capture the moments before the limelight hits. This candid backstage shot shows models about to step onto the catwalk for Ukrainian designer Yasya Minochkina on the second day of MBFWRussia.

Yasya Minochkina’s spring/summer collection Fairytale draws on the designer’s time spent in the south of France, taking its inspiration from the flowers and colours of Provence.

The collection features cocktail and full-length dresses together with tops, skirts and jackets, with the sunny summer palette – fresh greens and warm shades of pink, orange, and yellow – providing a welcome contrast to the heavy grey skies hanging above Moscow.
