The comedy of life: Slovenian literature event series begins tonight in London

World Season: Slovenian Season kicks off tonight in London with The Comedy of Life, a public event that will see British philosopher Nigel Warburton and Slovenian psychoanalytic philosopher Slavoj Žižek in conversation with Slovenian journalist Jela Krečič.

Discussion will centre on Krečič‘s new novel, None Like Her, which follows the tale of a search for the perfect partner, a quest undertaken in vain.

The event forms part of World Series, a joint venture between publishers Peter Owen and Istros Books aiming to deliver high-quality literature in translation to an English-reading audience. The Comedy of Life is the first of four events in the Slovenian Season.
