Sony Romanian casino advert among 2016’s best

Architecture and design magazine Designboom has listed a Sony BRAVIA advert centring on a derelict Romanian casino among the top ten videos of 2016.

The ad sees the abandoned building revived, with thousands of glitter balloons installed inside.

The commercial, which marked Sony’s 70th anniversary and a new range of HDR TVs, was made by US director Andre Stringer in collaboration with DDB Berlin, using in excess of 4000 balloons and 1500 kg of glitter.
