Croatian street artist Lonac explores childish love in Florida mural

5 January 2017

Zagreb-based street artist Lonac has made a name for himself around Europe for his impressive murals — recently he took his art across the Atlantic.

Lonac completed I lost my shoe when I saw you in November 2016 when he was invited to take part in the Canvas Outdoor Museum Show, an annual event that brings together artists from across the world to create public art in Florida’s West Palm Beach.

Showing a young boy and a girl sitting on a bench and using the symbol of butterflies to show their falling in love, I lost my shoe when I saw you is Lonac’s biggest mural to date.

Earlier in 2016, leading urban and contemporary art publication Widewalls listed Lonac’s Nitpicking mural in its annual list of the world’s best murals. Lonac’s work often takes inspiration from film, music, skate culture, comics, and social issues.
