Budapest hotel named best in the world

Budapest’s music-inspired Aria Hotel has come out top in travel site Tripadvisor’s 15th annual Travellers’ Choice Awards for Hotels.

The crowdsourced holiday review site revealed the winners on Tuesday, based on ratings for more than 7,600 properties featured on the site given by visitors from around the world.

Part of the Library Hotel Collection, Aria Hotel is set in Budapest’s historic Lipótváros neighbourhood, just steps away from St Stephen’s Basilica. The boutique hotel draws its inspiration from music, with each of its four wings dedicated to a musical genre: classical, opera, jazz and contemporary.

Also making the top ten was the BoHo Prague Hotel, which came in at number five.
