17 March 2017

The 15th edition of the Kinoteka Polish Film Festival opens tonight in London, bringing an exciting programme of screenings and workshops to the city.

As well as opportunities to see some of the best of contemporary Polish cinema, such as The Last Family (2016, dir. Jan P. Matuszyński) and Planet Single (2016, dir. Mitja Okorn), this year’s Kinoteka includes a retrospective of the works of acclaimed Polish director Andrzej Wajda, who died last year. The closing gala on 5 April will be a specially commissioned show by art rock sextet British Sea Power, who will play a live soundtrack for the screenings of some of the best animated shorts from Poland.

Kinoteka is presented by the Polish Cultural Institute in London, in partnership with Pola Arts Foundation and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

The 15th Kinoteka Polish Film Festival will take place from 17 March — 5 April 2017 at venues around London. A full programme can be found here.
