A Krasnoyarsk-based photographer known as Lina Malina has caused a stir after she put a traditional breakfast food to creative use, transforming her studio into a beach with the help of semolina.
According to Afisha, last week Lina Malina used more than 60 kg of the porridge ingredient — known as mannaya kasha or manka — to create the idyllic seaside scenery.
Her liberal use of semolina has struck the wrong note with many social media users, who decried the wastage involved, with many suggesting that the food would have been better used as animal feed.
