Windcatcher: Polish designer Filip Zięciak illuminates the invisible

Young Polish designer Filip Zięciak, a student at Stockholm’s Konstfack, highlights the unseen with his Windcatcher living wall installation.

Set on the wall of a busy metro station in the Swedish capital, Windcatcher reflects on invisible phenomena that go unnoticed, bringing unseen processes into the physical realm. The camouflaged laser-cut paper structure comes to life in response to wind created by movement from a passing train or person.

“When does nothing become something? When does the invisible become visible?” Zięciak contemplates.
