Gosha Rubchinskiy shoots Burberry for London exhibition

19 September 2017

Photographs by Gosha Rubchinskiy are on show in London as a part of the Burberry Here We Are exhibition curated by the brand’s president and chief creative officer Christopher Bailey.

Rubchinskiy’s work takes up two rooms in the gallery in the brand’s new show space in Old Sessions House in London. The rest of the exhibition comprises the work of over 30 social and documentary photographers who made their aesthetic mark on the 20th century, including Shirley Baker, Ken Russell and Alasdair McLellan.

Introducing the show in an Instagram post on the Burberry account Bailey said: “They provide a portrait of British life, in all its nuances, both exceptional and mundane, beautiful and harsh. It’s the spirit of those photographs – sometimes ironic, sometimes tender, always truthful – that has guided our September collection. Together they will form an exhibition in our new show space, celebrating a very British way of life and way of dressing.”

The show is open to public until 1 October.
