The Calvert Journal presents workshops on digital storytelling in Georgia

17 October 2017

Are you a journalist, writer or managing a creative business in Georgia? Starting 21 October The Calvert Journal will be hosting free digital storytelling workshops in Kutaisi, Batumi and Tbilisi.

The workshops come in two specialisations: Digital Storytelling for Journalists and Writers and Digital Storytelling for Cultural Projects. The journalism workshops will concentrate on developing story ideas and pitching them to editors and publications, with a focus on social issues, especially those that affect marginalised groups: LGBT communities, ethnic minorities, and women, among others. The Cultural Projects workshops will be particularly useful for those who work at creative enterprises, charities, cultural projects or NGOs with a focus on social issues and will concentrate on telling and communicating clear stories, connecting with the right audiences and growing followings for the projects.

The workshops are supported by the British Embassy Tbilisi and Fabrika.

The first workshops will be held on 21 October in Kutaisi. For tickets, dates and more information on the journalism workshops see here. For Cultural Projects see here.
