Follow of the week: puppies and street style in Tbilisi’s new star mayor’s Instagram

The newly elected mayor of the Georgian capital Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, is a not just a politician but also a retired football star, businessman and a star Instagrammer. Follow his account @kakhakaladze for a look at his multiple and adorable dogs, motorcycle pictures and sleek “outfit of the day” snaps.

The 39-year-old Kaladze is known as one of Georgia’s biggest football stars, playing for Dinamo Tbilisi, Dynamo Kyiv, AC Milan and Genoa CFC. After he quit football in 2012 he joined the Georgian Dream — Democratic Georgia political party, was elected to parliament, being appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy the same year. He also famously pledged his ministerial salary to charity.
