The nation of Lithuania has launched its own online playlist to mark the country’s upcoming centenary celebrations.

The centennial Spotify playlist features tracks from Lithuania’s best up-and-coming artists in a bid to launch the country into its next 100 years.

It also includes a mix of top Lithuanian folk, rock, classical and jazz from the past 100 years — including the country’s divisive 2006 Eurovision Song Content entry, We Are the Winners and viral hip-hop hit, the Lithuanian History Rap (Lietuvos Istorijos Repas).

“Music is yet another way of discovering Lithuania. We have the first 100 songs but I hope this is only the beginning, as we have plenty more authors who we take pride in and who tell about Lithuania,” said Neringa Vaisbrode, the head of the country’s centennial celebrations committee.

Lithuania will mark 100 years of statehood on 16 February.
