Tanya Akhmetgalieva (b. 1983, Kemerovo) is a visual artist based between Saint Petersburg and Moscow who works with such media as painting, video, and installation. Her works have been exhibited at major Russian institutions, as well as at London’s Calvert 22 Foundation and the Venice Biennale. Akhmetgalieva is a recipient of many prestigious prizes, including the Sergey Kuryokhin Contemporary Art Award that she won in 2015. She works with Galerie Forsblom in Helsinki and Marina Gisich Gallery in Saint Petersburg.
