New horizon: picturing the post-Soviet landscape

Over the course of six years, beginning in 2004, award-winning photographer Rafal Milach travelled to Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Krasnoyarsk to capture the people and landscapes in the three Russian cities. The result is a book called 7 Rooms, one of several projects in which the Polish photographer documents post-Soviet transition states. Together with ten other photographers from Central Eastern Europe, Milach founded Sputnik Photos, a collective that covers transition issues in this part of the world.
