Beautiful south: sun, sea and skateboarding on the Crimean coast
Moscow-based Sasha Mademuaselle started her photography career at the age of 17. Currently photo editor for Afisha listings magazine, the 22-year-old's curiosity about Yalta, the Black Sea resort, was sparked from scanning the work of local photographers on Flickr. This photo essay is a result of two subsequent winter trips to the city. "Yalta is a parallel world. Totally different to Moscow, especially in the winter with the sun and the sea," says Mademuaselle. "It's quiet and there are a million stray cats. What more could you wish for?"
